Theater: Drama for People with and without Disabilities

Theater Club - Begun in 1993, this is was one of the first activities sponsored by Marjorie Book Continuing Education.  Our theater club was unusual in that involved people with and without disabilities acting in full-length productions. In the past, the group has performed challenging play selections by such authors as Ibsen, Wilder and Shakespeare, as well as musicals such as Godspell.  Actors and general volunteers are all needed to help produce our three annual shows.

Community Service: by People with and without Disabilities

Monthly Service Projects - Marjorie Book Continuing Education performs at least several monthly Saturday service projects for other Greater Cincinnati non-profits. The group finds ways for all participants, regardless of ability level, to make meaningful contributions to the service project. Past service sites have included the Brighton Center, the Pendleton Heritage Center and the Over-the-Rhine Neighborhood Garden.  Marjorie Book Continuing Education also sponsors a service trip to Northern Ohio each summer.

Continuing Education: for People with and without Disabilities

Noncredit Educational Classes - Marjorie Book Continuing Education sponsors several noncredit postsecondary classes each year for students with and without disabilities.  In 2009, the group held a Introduction to Spanish class.
