DRAMAKINETICS WORKSHOP
Xavier University
Recharge your students’ enthusiasm through learning by discovery!
Fun and functional ideas to teach and enhance curriculum for all students by using drama, music, and movement activities.
Dramakinetics is a multi-disciplinary performing arts method designed to involve students of all abilities. Because Dramakinetics uses drama, dance, and music, along with sensory integration exercises and positive behavior supports, it allows naturalistic ways to differentiate instruction for educational, therapeutic, and/or recreational purposes, including Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and Inclusive Service Learning (ISL). This workshop will provide the techniques, methods and strategies to implement in those settings. Theory-into-practice experiences are designed in the workshop.*
*In addition to the class hours, 5 practicum hours are required for theory-into-practice experiences. These will be scheduled during the first class.
